Rolls-Royce Pininfarina Hyperion

Pininfarina has just released its toughest model out there in the Pebble Beach Concours at August 2008. Overall, its size and build has been a question to all of us. In all of heritage and tradition, based on the Rolls Royce, this takes the cake in history between these two models.

It has made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show; also Pininfarina has showed off its highly anticipated electric cars: Ferrari California and the Maserati Quattroporte MY 08. All of these cars are designed by the only Pininfarina in Paris.

In order to please other companies, Pininfarina has added a different view of creativity and ability to interpret other companies. This car, I would say will make a good impression on its buyers and other companies.

The Rolls-Royce Company produced the Rolls-Royce Corniche from 1971 to 1996. The Corniche started as coupé and convertible versions of the Silver Shadow. Between 1971 and 1996, five generations of Corniche vehicles were produced. The first generation manufactured from 1971 – 1985, had a 3-speed automatic transmission. Only the first generation Corniche was available as a coupé, as it was discontinued in 1982. The second generation Corniche was only available for three years, from 1986 – 1989. The third generation of Corniches, available from 1990-1993, had a 4-speed automatic transmission. The last generation of Corniche vehicles were available from 1993 – 1996, with a glass rear window.

The first three generations were assembled in London, at the Mulliner Park Ward facility. Later, after the closure of the Mulliner Park Ward plant, production was transferred to the Crewe plant. A fifth Corniche model was released in 2000, but was only released for a limited time. The Corniche V was the most expensive Rolls-Royce at that time, costing US$359,900.

As of 2009, only three Phantom models are available: the Phantom, Phantom Drophead Coupé, and Phantom Coupé.

Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph for Sale

Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph 150

With the Rolls-Royce Company sold to the Volkswagen Group in 1998, one of the Rolls-Royce brand’s first achievements was to launch a new line of cars called the Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph.

The Silver Seraph was debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1998. As the Rolls-Royce Silver Spur was discontinued in 1997, the Silver Seraph became its replacement. Until its discontinuation in 2002, all Seraphs were built by hand and were manufactured in Crewe, England at the Rolls-Royce factory there. The Silver Seraph was the last Rolls-Royce car manufactured there, as the facility concentrated on making Bentley cars after 2002.

As with any other Rolls-Royce car, the price tag of the Silver Seraph was a lofty $220,695, making it the second most expensive Rolls-Royce car, second only to the Rolls-Royce Corniche. An aluminum alloy BMW V12 engine with 5.4 L capacity powered the car with a 5-speed automatic transmission. A stretch version, the Rolls-Royce Park Ward, was made available for two years, from 2001 until 2002, when it was discontinued along with the rest of the Silver Seraph line.

Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow for Sale

Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 150

Great Britain’s contribution to the luxurious and classy lifestyle is none other than the Rolls Royce. Just imagine the worshipping crowd as a 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow drives down the street. Before the introduction of this model, it was years in the drawing board since there were never-ending refinements which definitely made it worth beyond words.

Fuel was not a problem before so the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow registered a 6.23 liter, V8 engine which allowed it to be the most sought after vehicle. It is indeed a time machine when one enters the plush interior design of the Silver Shadow.

As early as the 60s, the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow already started to use the disk brakes instead of the more common drum brakes that were utilized then. Aside from the nitty-gritty details that still mystify people regarding how great the Rolls-Royce identity is, there is only one word for it Classic.

Estimated Price Range for Used Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow: $6,000-$75,000
Below are Pre-Owned Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow from Ebay and 2 of the top used-car sites on the web:
