Used Plymouth Neon

Plymouth Neon 150

The Plymouth Neon was a compact front drive car that was offered either as a 4-door sedan or a 2-door coupe. It was launched in January 1994 and in its entire production course it had undergone series of restyling and configurations.
In its first generation, Plymouth Neon was built with either a three-speed automatic transmission or a five-speed manual transmission.

Its style, particularly the exterior color, was marked as rule breaking; and input like the unavailability of power windows in the rear doors and bumper covers that were rather molded in color than in paint were likewise a symbol of non-conformity to the standard structure of small family cars.

However, Plymouth Neon got a disgusting rating both in security and framework. It garnered poor rating that analysts advised car buyers that this one was a small car to avoid. Plymouth Neon was not exclusively branded as such. In Japan, Europe, and Asia it was named as Chrysler Neon.

Used Plymouth Prowler

Plymouth Prowl 150

Undeniably, Plymouth Prowler was one heck of a concept car. Its Indy-racer-style front wheel and chassis mainly constructed of aluminum could stun car enthusiasts and car designers alike. However, its creators seemed to have been overwhelmed by the freedom entrusted to them that the output failed to deliver the performance that was expected of something considered as not your run-of-the-mill vehicle.

Plymouth Prowler did not have a manual transmission that would supposedly facilitate in laying down the necessary stripes of hot rubber. Its manufacturers settled with the standard-issue 3.5-liter V6 under the hood, which obviously could not deliver the requisite speed of a hot rod vehicle.

This car unit had been available in 12 colors, though when it was launched in 1997 it was only available in Purple Metallic. Truly, its stunning feature did shock the public when it was debuted at the 1993 North American International Auto Show, but to think of it as a memorable drive forget about it.

Used Plymouth Roadrunner

Being convinced that muscle cars had gone too far from the basics, manufacturer of Plymouth Roadrunner created it to bring back the good old thrills of muscle cars. The first muscle cars ever created were performance based and were truly low-priced.

Launched in 1968, Plymouth Roadrunner was patterned on the heavy luxury cars whose body shape were in the B-Line, such as Belvidere. Though it was lighter than the smaller Barracuda, this car was not as fragile as sports car and it was tough enough to endure any collision. Probably that was the explanation on how much of it had survived the test of serious street work.

Indeed, Plymouth Roadrunner was a reincarnation of muscle cars with the stripped pillared coupe. Its standard engine was MOPAR’s 383 cid power plant and could produce up to 335bhp. Apparently, it paid Warner Brothers to use the name and to produce horn that went beep beep, similar to the sound famously associated with a certain cartoon bird.

Used Plymouth Satellite

Plymouth Satellite 150

Plymouth Satellite was one of Chrysler automobiles powered by the legendary street Hemi engine. It was debuted in 1964 as the top picks for its mid-size Belvidere line, and had been on the top line until the Fury came in 1975.

The 1965 Plymouth Satellite featured two-door hardtop models and a base coupe with non-roll-down rear windows. In 1967 it went under several changes where the grill was built with dual side-by-side headlights, and a change in sheet metal was visible at its aluminum trim lower body. This year, its body shape got even more muscular and curvy.

In 1968 a sporty version of this car model was introduced, along the time the Belvidere was demoted to a below average automobile. The two-door hardtop and convertible was transformed into a 4-door sedan and station wagon. Truly, Plymouth Satellite was driven by a powerful motor engine; its styling was never astounding, however.

Used Plymouth Sundance

Plymouth Sundance 150

Based on a mid-size car, Plymouth Sundance arrived in 1987 together with its twin the Dodge Shadow. Both were built on the same subcompact platform. It first featured a four door hatchback but was immediately followed by a two door hatchback. It had a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional 3-speed automatic for all three engines.

Actually, its wheelbase and length was only .1 shorter than the original K-cars. Hence, it was an enormous size compared to other sub-compact cars. Plymouth Sundance was not a sporty-type, but rather it catered to consumers that were particular on comfort and space accommodation.

Other standard features included a precision handling system, power-assisted brakes with dual braking system split diagonally, dual outside remote control mirrors, color-keyed front and rear bumpers, two rectangular halogen headlights, stainless steel exhaust system and a 14-inch sport wheel covers. In 1990 it acquired computer-controlled panel that resulted in replacement of the cable-driven speedometer.
