The Infiniti G20 was the first in the G series of cars from Nissan Motors’ luxury car division. The G20 is an entry-level luxury car in the US during most of the 1990s and into the 2000s. Offering higher levels of standard equipment, the G20 came in two generations in the U.S: the HP10 (P10), manufactured from 1991 to 1996, and the HP11 (P11), built from 1999 to 2002. All G20s were front-wheel drive and were made in Oppama, Japan.

The P10 showcased the first application of Nissan’s multi-link front suspension in a front-wheel-drive car. The G35 is a rear-wheel drive aimed at the entry level luxury-sports sedan market. It is the third-generation in the G series of Infiniti, Nissan Motors’ luxury car division. A replacement to the G20, the Infiniti G35 was launched in the US market for the 2003 model year.

The G35 received good reviews from the automotive press with Motor Trend magazine naming it as Car of the Year for 2003. The G35 was a sales success despite being priced higher than its G20 predecessor. The G35 is based on the Nissan FM platform wherein the FM initial stands for “front midship” design that had the engine moved back towards the rear of the engine bay to improve weight distribution.

The G37 is one of the latest variants in the Infiniti G series of mid-size entry-level luxury cars and coupes produced by Nissan’s luxury car division. The G37 sedan version, introduced in 2009, replaced the G35 sedan in the Infiniti stable.
