Cadillac STS 150

Based on the Cadillac Seville coupe of the 1950s, the Cadillac STS has evolved from being a speedy and flashy luxury vehicle into a more conventional luxury sedan. Cadillac skillfully combined comfort, spaciousness, power, and value in manufacturing the Cadillac STS. The variety of features packed in the STS can even rival those of Japanese and German luxury sedans.

The latest Cadillac STS boasts of powerful performance on the road, thanks to its 3.6-liter DI (direct-injected) V6 engine that offers a whopping 302 horsepower and 272 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is more fuel-efficient than and performs as greatly as a 4.6-liter V8 rated at 320 horsepower. The STS’ engine is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission, a notable improvement from the old engines and five-speed automatic transmissions of the past STS generations. Standard features in the current STS models include 17-inch wheels and leather seating, while optional features include a surround-sound entertainment system and navigation system.

Shelby 85th Commemorative GT40

In honor of Carroll Shelby’s 85th birthday, Shelby Distribution USA under the name from Shelby Licensing and partnership with Shelby Automobiles Inc. will introduce the three new Shelby American GT40® race cars. That achieved one of the greatest feats in American automotive racing history. The GT40 chassis is nearly the same replica of the original race car, all the way down to the steel roof.

2008 Shelby 85th Commemorative GT40

The chassis weighing in over 12,000 pounds per degree is stiffer than any other chassis on the market. The engine’s car is called the Shelby 427FE V8. Nothing beats Shelby’s 85th birthday than the classics, featuring an original full independent suspension system.

Elite braking performance has been achieved through the vented Wilwood super brakes. The interior features a sporty racing atmosphere, having a pedal box, instruments and a 14-inch steering wheel. I would say that this car has been a favorite classic with its Shelby buyers.

Used BMW 8-Series

BMW 8-SeriesIf you like taking friends for a fast joyride, sitting behind the wheels of a car belonging to the BMW 8-Series would be just fine. BMW marketed this series in the US between 1991 and 1997 as a two-door 2+2 coupe with a V8 or V12 engine. All variants of the 8-series could accommodate two rear passengers, unlike its direct competitor, the Mercedes Benz SL Roadster which is only a two-seater.

The cars under BMW 8-Series have an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), but with the limiters removed this could reach an estimated 299 km/h (186 mph). Initial sales of the 8-Series were good but revenues were affected by the oil price hikes and the global recession of the early 1990s. Eventually, the BMW 8-Series was pulled out of the North American market in 1997 and worldwide production was totally stopped in 1999. There are unconfirmed reports, however, that BMW plans to revive the 8-series in a four-dour coupe to match the Mercedes Benz CLS-Class market entries.
