A compact executive sedan, the Volvo S60, manifests the marked departure of autos made by Volvo Cars from their stereotype boxy design during the 1980s and the 1990s. The S60, launched in 2000, sports a design bearing the influence of British designer Peter Horbury and largely based upon the stylish Volvo S80.
