Lincoln LS 150

This mid-size sedan is based on the DEW98 platform of Ford that was shared with the Ford Thunderbird and the Jaguar S-Type. Production of the Lincoln LS starts from 1999 up to 2006. Its versions were basically coined as LS8 and LS6, depending on the choice of engine. On the other hand, those terms were replaced with “LS V8” and “LS V6” after the Lexus division of Toyota became concerned regarding the possibility for naming mix-up with its Lexus LS.

Lincoln LS was the first model in decades to tender an elective manual transmission. The price of this model ranged from over 30,000 dollars in 1999 to around 45,000 dollars in 2004. In the year 2006, its price ranged from 39,945 dollars to 49,100 dollars. The growth on its base price is primarily caused by the removal of the LS V6 entry level. Lincoln LS is available with either a 3.0 L V8 or 3.0 L V6 engine.
