The largest city in the state of Missouri, its land area is spread throughout four counties, namely Jackson, Clay, Cass, and Platte counties. The City of Kansas in the state of Missouri is the location of many historic battles during the civil war. One of which is the battle of Westport which ended the confederate’s campaign in occupying the city of Kansas.
