There are engine options available depending on your preference for this new Legacy. They should be familiar if you have had the experience of owning a Legacy.

First is the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder boxer engine that produces 175 horsepower with 174 lbs ft of torque; then Legacy 3.6R model which come with a 3.6 liter flat-6 engine, providing an impressive 256 horsepower and 247 lbs ft of torque.

All Legacy models receive an Active Grille system that cuts wind resistance when closed. The new aluminum hood helps cut the overall weight.

Exterior

The 108.3 inch wheelbase has not been changed. A 60/40 split rear seat configuration is standard. All Legacy’s now have 17-inch wheels with the 18-inch wheels as optional.

The engineers have employed some form of visual trickery to make the front look lower. These tricks include a hood that actually wraps over onto the front fenders with thinner leaner headlamps.

The rear-vision camera together with all-round awareness of available Blind-spot detection and the rear cross traffic alert keeps the driver aware of what’s around his car.

Interior

As mentioned, this car is roomier for both people and cargo. This new car is quieter and more refined. The chassis is 43 % stiffer than before; it now has an acoustic laminated wind-shield, thicker sheet-metal in the floor and inner fenders, more foam insulation together with under-carpet sound-deadening material.

Shocks and springs have been returned to give more composed ride. Inside, you will also find a 6.2 inch touch screen display, electric steering, text message functionality, a satellite radio, iTunes tagging and some dual USB inputs. There is also a 12-speaker, 576 watts stereo.
