2014 Skoda Yeti

For 2014, Skoda prepared a small change in their lineup. The Czech car manufacturer will have two versions for the 2014 Skoda Yeti. Up till now, the model only had one setup but the new series will feature a city version and an off-road version.

While the visual differences are not obvious, the two versions will have different combinations of engine and transmission options.

Engine

Looking at the full lineup and the options, Skoda gives the customer the option to choose amongst three petrol and four diesel engines.

Starting with 1.2 TSI and all the way to 2.0 TDI, the 2014 Yeti is available in both front and all-wheel drives while the transmission can be either manual or DSG.

Performance

Ride and handling have been enhanced. Features such as Break Assist and all-wheel drive give it an improve road grip and stability even during rough weather conditions or off-road rides.

Exterior

The exterior of the car has all the elements of a compact SUV with a generous front grill and vents on the bumper, large headlights. This time around, the design team went for smooth edges and lines on the hood and bumper to go with rectangular front lights, giving it a more aggressive look.

Interior

The interior of the Yeti have likewise been upgraded. It now features a new 3-spoke steering wheel as well as some decorative trims all across the dashboard and new patters and materials for the seat covers.

Also, the seats can now be rearranged in multiple ways by either folding or removing all 3 in the back or just the one in the middle turning from a 5 passenger to a 4 passenger car.

The Czech car manufacturers worked on improving the previous model and delivering a more customizable mini-SUV. At the same time, the 2014 Skoda Yeti manages to score a 5-star rating in terms of safety.
