Porsche 930

The Porsche 930 is a sports car manufactured by Porsche in between the years 1975-1989.

The Porsche 930 is the predecessor of Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.0 and also considered as the top range model and the fastest production car at the time of its production. The Porsche 930 consists of a flat six 3.0 turbocharged and air cooled engine and delivers an output power of about 260 hp. In order to obtain high output power; stronger gear box, larger brakes, and a modified suspensions have been used.

In the year 1978, modifications have been done where the engine was increased to 3.3 liters and air-to-air intercooler has been added to the engine. Due to this the engine was able to deliver an output power of 300 hp. Also, the braking system has been modified. Later the 5-speed transmission has been introduced in the 1989 models which was also the only version to feature the 5-speed transmission. The production of Porsche 930 came to an end in the same year 1989.
