Engine

The 2013 Cayman will be available in a highly efficient flat 6-cylinder powertrain mounted in front of the rear axle. The base trim will be powered by a 2.7L version producing 275 horsepower and 213 lbs-ft of torque. With this engine, the Cayman can accelerate from standstill to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 165 or 164 mph depending on the transmission.

The Cayman S is fitted with a 3.4L engine that generates 325 horsepower and 272 lb-ft of torque. With the PDK dual clutch in place, the car can speed from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 second and reach an optimum speed of 174 mph. When equipped with a manual gearbox, it sprints from 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds reaching a top speed of 175mph.

Exterior

The Cayman comes with an extended wheelbase with shorter overhangs which help improve aerodynamics. At the front, you will notice the new cooling air-intakes with built-in 4-point daytime running lights. This feature distinguishes the new Cayman from the previous generations.

The rear received a few improvements which include: a new aluminum boot-lid, LED brake light, and a new spoiler deploying at a steeper angle. The base model comes with 18-inch wheels, while the Cayman S trim is fitted with 19-inch wheels.

Interior

The interior also received several updates to provide a sporty and comfortable driving experience. The stick and the steering wheel have been placed at a close proximity from each other, while all buttons and functions of the on-board computer are spontaneously accessible.

With the increased power, efficiency and speed, the 2013 Porsche Cayman is destined to success. However it will compete against rivals like Audi TTS and Audi TT RS.
