Cruising down the road nowadays, we see a lot of hybrid cars replacing old gas guzzling machines that used to speed down the streets. Porsche did something better by integrating new hybrid innovations into its latest offering, the 2011 Porsche 918 RSR Concept. Strapped into this cars' interior is a 563 horsepower V8 engine that is an improved combination of the RS Spyder race car and new hybrid technologies.
Harnessing an engine that can reach a total of 767 horsepower total should put any car aficionado in speed-induced heaven. With new concepts, combined with tried and tested mechanics engineered with this car, it is a marvel to behold. Who would've taught a Porsche could carry a hybrid engine? And giving a driving experience that would outperform conventional automobiles? This is truly a one of a kind car that would, in coming years, hopefully be adapted into modern sports car manufacturing as a standard to follow.

This car looks nothing at all like a Ferrari. It looks like a Porsche racing car… which it is. Not to mention it gets 78 mpg and runs partially off battery power and its not street legal. The the 918 Spyder on the other hand is street legal and still gets 78 mpg and runs off battery power. They start at around $870,000 and completely worth it. The idea started with the Carerra GT and went from there. this car is wayy more than any of y’all could afford. The first showing of the spyder was in Florida and the showing for the RSR will be in California. My father has 3 Porsche’s already and is going to add to his collection. i agree it does look like a ferrari, but at least they are gettin into new looks
looks like a mix between a Ferrari and a Ultima. that isn’t a good mix. it should rather be a mix between a Lamborghini murcielago and a Corvette or veyron.
