Nissan showcased its 2014 Sport Sedan concept at the recent NAIAS Detroit Auto show. The concept is a design study that highlights the next-generation of the sporty style that Nissan vehicles will adopt.

The concept showcased by Nissan was a 4-door sedan, which is a rarity in the sports sedan segment. The concept highlights the highly energetic, aggressive and emotional design language that Nissan will utilize for its next generation sedans.

Engine

The Sport Sedan concept is expected to be powered by a 3.5 liter V6 that generates 300 horsepower. Despite being termed as a Sport Sedan, the concept comes with a front wheel drive format.

The engine will be mated to an Xtronic CVT. This setup is similar to what is present in the current generation Maxima and is likely to continue in 2015.

Exterior

The exterior of the Sport Sedan concept is marked by wide and low profiles. The lowered stance and ground clearance gives this sedan a sporty look. The front showcases the distinctive V-shaped chrome grille.

The front sports boomerang shaped LED headlamps. The side profile give it a masculine with an attractive sculpted design with character lines.

The 21-inch alloy wheels add to the imposing presence of the concept sedan. The rear of the car is capped by a high deck accented in chrome elements. The distinctive floating roof design by the use of black pillars give it a lower stance.

The Nissan design team has incorporated a rounded hood line gracefully in a sedan, which very few sport sedans have achieved.

Interior

The interior of the Sport Sedan Concept provides hints on the future production designs. The Sport Sedan interior showcases the use of premium material. Other interior features including high contrasting colors blended with metallic accents.

The Nissan Sport Sedan concept has been designed by Nissan Design America and developed at the Nissan Global Design center in Japan. The concept is believed to be a teaser before the actual launch of the Nissan Maxima later this year.

As “Red Bull” sponsors Infiniti, the collaboration totally blurs the line between luxury and racing as the just unveiled 2014 Infiniti Q 5 Eau-Rouge Concept shows. This new concept was revealed at Detroit Motor Show 2014.

This car is arguably one of the most attractive vehicles to enter the market as Infiniti attempts to attract a more youthful set of customers.

Engine

The complete details of the engine have not yet been revealed. However, it is expected that the engine will be heavily revised and be an upgraded version of the twin-turbocharged 3.7 liter V6 engine which is currently on the Q50.

According to Eau Rouge specification, the power-plant may deliver up to 500 hp with a torque of 600 lb-ft.

Exterior

The front face of this concept has an aggressive appearance with large air intakes and carbon fiber splitter. It has a carbon fiber roof, door mirrors, and handsome side sills.

The rear is imposing and rather wide. The engineers have promised the infusion of carbon fiber rear-splitter, an integrated rear spoiler, and a dual exhaust system. This vehicle has actually been finished in ‘Rouge’ (red) and is beautifully contrasted with the carbon parts and the lightweight 21- inch wheels. The wheels are finished in black and hide the red Brembo brakes.

Interior

The inside receives a high-performance treatment with a sure-grip steering wheel coupled with formula one-style paddle-shifters. There are red-infused carbon accents lining the doors and the center console.

This color scheme matches the outside. The steering wheel features custom made suede-like material in black and red to contrast the stitching and aluminum accents. There are also two magnesium alloy shift-paddles for easy access mounted just behind the wheel.

Most of the car’s trim is actually matched with the body to complement the carbon weave design. In addition, rouge, black and chrome accents adorn the cabin.

General Motors has just put the rest of the world on notice with the introduction of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. America can now compete with the top performance vehicles anywhere on the planet.

It has a more aggressive appearance, the engine more powerful. Performance is enhanced with a sport suspension and high performance brakes.

If that’s not enough, a Z07 kit is offered as an option which provides an aerodynamic package with downforce capabilities unsurpassed in the industry.

The essence of the 2015 Corvette Z06 is under the hood. There you will find an all new LT4, 6.2 Liter supercharged V8 capable of generating 625 horsepower.

The engine is paired with a 7 speed manual transmission featuring Active Rev Match. This “super car” will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds while reaching a top speed of 200 mph.

Exterior

In a somewhat odd move, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 designers began with the tires and worked their way up. Following the decision to go with wider wheels to accommodate the vehicles high standard of performance, they had to enlarge the front and rear fenders which created a more intimidating stance.

A splitter can be found at the front wheel wells. While in the rear, there is a spoiler on top and the taillights have been spaced an extra few inches apart.

The rear view looks suspiciously like the current Camaro, and may be best described as “a Camaro on steroids” with its quad exhaust tips prominently visible on the center bottom.

However, there is no mistaking the Corvette emblem on the rear façade.

Interior

Two types of seats are available. The first is a GT version and the other is the “Competition Sport” option. Both manufactured using magnesium to make it lightweight and durable.

The rest of the interior is made from fine Napa leather, micro suede, carbon fiber and aluminum. The round gauge instrument display is set off by a unique flat bottomed steering wheel.

Chrysler is giving the public what it has been asking for since the Sebring. The 2015 Chrysler 200 is a redesigned midsized vehicle fans of Chrysler have been waiting for. In addition to the new exterior look, it receives an upgraded chassis and an innovative standard transmission.

With the unveiling of the 2015 GMC Canyon at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2014, the truck division of General Motors has introduced its third member of trucks. It joins the Sierra 1500 and 2015 Sierra HD.
