2013 Kleemann Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

It seems 2014 will be the final production year for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and there is no immediate replacement. However, tuners are still drawn to this renowned sports car.

Danish tuner, Kleemann, has shown interest in the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG by creating an impressive super car, the 2013 Kleemann Mercedes Benz SLS AMG. The tuning kit focuses on the exhaust system and engine, transforming the SLS AMG into a powerful, ferocious vehicle.

Engine & Performance

The power package given by Kleemann to the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is explosive. It increases the base output to 770 horsepower and 623 pound-feet of torque.

With the extra power provided by the package, the SLS AMG sprints from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 3.3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 221 Miles per hour.

Supercharger

The base SLS AMG has a 6.2 liter, V-8 engine than can deliver up to 583 horsepower; however, the Dutch high performance tuning specialist decided to come up with a better in-house-developed supercharger.

The Kleemann Supercharger is their signature product. The custom supercharger system is made of billet aluminum that has been milled out from solid blocks of aluminum alloy and then black anodized.

The finished product has the factory made look and feel; you will be impressed when you pop open the hood.

Exhaust System

Kleemann has also put in a completely redesigned polished-stainless-steel exhaust system that comes in two variants. An X section with a flapper controlled rear section and a bolt on cat back system with a dual mid muffler.

The addition of a new catalyst section has greatly improved the sound produced by the V-8 engine; it also frees the heat buildup against the engine by making the exhaust flow more efficient.

On top of that, the redesigned exhaust system can be remotely operated, making it easy for you to adjust the sound from the polite purr to the fierce sound of a race car.
