2014 Koenigsegg One-1

The 2014 Koenigsegg One: 1 is a mid-engine sports car by Swedish automaker Koenigsegg. This is a modified version of the Agera R and was unveiled at 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The automaker will build 6 cars based on the model presented at the Motor show.

The horsepower to kg curb weight ratio is an amazing 1:1; this is a dream equation that was previously thought impossible to achieve. This car is also the first homologated production car in the world with 1 Megawatt power. According to Koenigsegg, this is the world’s fastest megacar.

Engine & Performance

The One: 1 is powered by an in-house 5.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine. The engine produces 1,360 horsepower at 7500 rpm with a torque of 1,011 lb ft at 6,000 rpm. The weight of this engine is 434 lbs (197 kg) thanks to the aluminum construction and carbon fiber intake manifold.

The transmission is a 7-speed dual clutch’ with paddle shifters. The car has a top speed of 273 mph and can sprint from 0 to 250 mph in 20 seconds.

Exterior

The One: 1 has a stunning appearance that goes well with the state of the art features. Some of the features include unique track optimized aero winglets, large air vents to improve cooling, extended venture tunnels and side splitters and Le-Mans inspired active wing configuration.

There is a roof air scoop to support the 1 Megawatt power. The car rides on custom made Michelin Cup tires and upgraded Koenigsegg Aircore carbon fiber wheels.

Interior

This two door, two seater comes with a fixed roof. Other features include power windows, adjustable pedals and steering column, adjustable light weight race seats, and active ride height adjustments.

Additional gadgetry for the passenger’s convenience include USB connection, digital warning and info system, climate control, G sensor, tire monitoring system, alarm and a rear view camera.

When it comes to safety, it comes with carbon ceramic brakes, Sport ABS, power steering, 6 point racing seatbelts, and power brakes.

Optional features include an anodized black aluminum interior, custom diamond encrusted key, 3G telematics system, full clear carbon body and personalized logo on rear hood.
