Engine & Performance

The 2014 Grand Cherokee features a 24-valve 3.0 liter Eco-Diesel V6 engine that is capable of delivering a maximum of 240 hp and 420 pound feet of torque. The Eco-Diesel will only be available for the Limited, Overland, and Summit trims.

The other engine available include an updated 5.7 liter V8, the base 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 engine and the 6.4 liter HEMI V8.

Select-Terrain traction control system continues to be part of this legendary off road system. Traction is enhanced by either the Quadra-Tac II or Quadra-Drive II four wheel drive systems. With the proper towing attachments, the Grand Cherokee is capable of towing up to 7400 lbs.

All trims come with an eight speed transmission.In order to improve fuel economy, the 2014 models have an Eco Mode that optimizes the transmission’s shift schedule.

Exterior

The exterior is attractive and maintains Jeep’s simple and aggressive appearance .The upper grille is slightly shorter with its slimmer headlamps. The added fog lamps are raised making them more pronounced within the Grand Cherokee’s fascia design.

The rear receives new, larger LED tail lights. The rear is enhanced by a larger and more aerodynamic spoiler, complimented by re-designed tailgate.

Interior

The interior has been revised with new Uconnect 8.4-inch or five inch touchscreen coupled with a leather wrapped E-shifter for the 8-speed transmission. The 2014 model also has a 3-spoke steering wheel wrapped in quality leather.

In order to ease connectivity, the front passenger and the driver have access to a 12-volt DC power outlet, SD, AUX and USB ports located at the bottom the vehicle’s center stack. The rear passengers will have sufficient leg room and enough juice to share when charging their electronic devices.
