This list is horribly wrong... My 1994 Geo Metro got 53 MPG... And there's LOTS of diesels that get about the same or better mileage than the Prius.

Can anyone help me?
i have a Nissan AK 11, year 1997, 997 cc engine. automatic transmission. i have noticed that for 40 km it burns almost 3 litres of petrol. i dont find it normal... can anyone tell me whether it is alright or there is some problem?
what can be done to reduce fuel consumption on an automatic transmission car?

what it the mileage for my car in terms of km per gallon.

Dog, U say that there are 120-200 mpg carbs out there and we just have to look for them..but you don't say where, like they are "your secret" Do you have anything to gain by not telling the rest of us where they are? And what are you using on your auto? U see there is not much faith in those that repeat the ole saying, "somebody says that somebody say there is a carb out there that will triple your mileage" That pile of garbage/garage talk has been tossed around for 30 years..

I could imagine Hybrid owners, after paying a premium price for the extra mileage hope the price of gas goes up, so they can justify the purchase, with lower prices some short haul owners are saving perhaps $300 a year, it's a long way to break even at that rate.
