Engine
The all-new Ford Mustang GT would not be complete without an exceptionally powerful engine, and Ford has not disappointed.
The V8 engine is 5.0-liter that delivers over 420 horsepower (426 PS), with 390 lb-ft (529 NM) torque, with an upgraded valve-train.
Performance
The upgraded manifold improves breathing at lower speeds, giving improved economy, a lower emission rate, and better stability while idle.
Shifting will prove to be a smoother experience as well, with the manual gear-box being upgrade, and the auto-transmission now has shift paddles that are mounted on the steering wheel, giving more choice between control and convenience to the driver.
Exterior
The somewhat radically changed design has been carefully crafted, and Ford hopes that it still keeps the key elements that Mustang fans have loved for so many years.
These elements include the long hood and short deck at the rear that have been executed with a contemporary style in mind.
Key Design Changes
Here are some of the main design changes that make the all-new Mustang unique:
- The roof has been lowered, and the back fenders are wider, giving the car a wider and lower stance.
- Mustang has brought back the fastback, with a more streamlined profile; this has been done by sloping the rear glass and wind-shield more steeply.
- The car has sequential turning signals, and three-dimensional tail-lamps that are tri-bar.
- That signature “shark-bite” fascia at the front has been elegantly sculpted, along with a trapezoid-grille, to give a more modern appearance.
