For the record the 84′ (late year) did use the Doug Nash 4+3! Got one and it works great! But then I keep the maintance up

The ZF 6 speed transmission was introduced in 1989, not the 1992 although the 6sp was available in 1992. I currently one an 1990 Z51, with L98 engine and ZF 6 speed transmission.
