2014 Chrysler 200 Convertible

The Chrysler 200 Convertible was introduced into the very competitive midsized marketplace in 2011. As a drop top model, it competes in a smaller segment with the likes of the Volkswagen Eos, Ford Mustang, and the Chevrolet Camaro.

The 2014 Chrysler 200 Convertible has an advantage over these other contenders with more leg room and a larger trunk capacity whether the top is up or down.

Engine & Performance

The base engine for the 2014 Chrysler 200 Convertible is a 2.4 liter, 4 cylinder, capable of generating 173 horsepower. You may also opt for a 3.6 liter V6 with 283 horsepower.

The latter engine is mated with a 6 speed automatic transmission and the 4 cylinder is available with either a 4 or 6 speed automatic transmission. The 200 Convertible is front wheel drive.

Exterior

Some of the highlights begin up front with LED lighting giving the headlamps a high tech appearance after dark. The profile view begins with the cars stance on 17 inch steel wheels, with 18 inch aluminum rims available as an option.

The side mirrors are heated and can adjusted by electronic power. You have a remote, keyless entry and your choice of the traditional cloth “rag top” or a power retractable steel hardtop roof.

The “S” model comes standard with the 18″ wheels along with exclusive exterior badging.

There are 3 trim lines available on the convertible with the Touring model.

Interior

Cloth seats come basic, but leather is available as an option. The air conditioning is manual (this is a convertible after all); however auto A/C is also offered.

The CD stereo has a MP3 jack and is controlled by audio buttons mounted on the telescopic, tilt steering wheel.

Other interior options include heated front seats, a touch screen stereo with 28 gigabytes of storage, and a navigational system.
