The Chrysler Group Company is an American automobile producer based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. In the year 1925, it was first formed as Chrysler Corporation. From years 1998 until 2007, the company and its subordinates were among the DaimlerChrysler AG, which is now called Daimler AG. Before 1998, the Chrysler Corporation marketed under the symbol “C” on New York Stock Exchange.

On the 30th of April 2009, Chrysler filed for a Chapter 11 bankruptcy security and proclaimed a proposal for a joint venture with Fiat, an Italian automobile maker. On the 1st of June 2009, Chrysler said that they were marketing a number of operations and assets to the freshly formed corporation called the Chrysler Group LLC.

On the 10th June 2009, the trade of majority of the Chrysler assets wit the New Chrysler was done. The federal government funded the contract with $6.6 billion in funding, disbursed to the Old Chrysler.
