		<description>Great advice, but I wanted some clarity on the necessity of writing a separate check for the &quot;principal&quot; each month.  Is there really any benefit to doing this?  I can see how you would pay a few more dollars of interest the first month you did this, but since they are applying anything extra to the next month&#039;s payment there would be no further benefit once the monthly cycle kicks in.  Make sense or am I off base here?  Think about it.</description>
