You actually might have those rims on the E46 with the comp pkg. In terms of the tail revisions, this is the affordable tactic of providing a minor refresh in to its recent style to appea individuals into buying a newer model year. They do it all the time along with the front skirt and taillights. The E46 didn’t receive its taillight upgrade till the late 03 versions I believe.
