The 2014 BMW 2 Series Coupe is a two door model based on the 1 Series hatchback. It becomes available in early 2014.
Although both the 1 and 2 series models may differ in the important components, they share body panels.
The 2 Series has a bit more style, proportion and enhanced performance when compared to the 1 Series hatchback.

Engine & Performance
There are three variants of the 2 Series that will be available when it arrives in 2014; the 220i, 220d, and the M235i. The 220i has a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine capable of 184 horsepower along with 200 pound-feet of torque; and the diesel is also a 2.0 liter that has 184 horsepower with 281 lbs ft of torque.
The M235i on the other hand is a 3.0 liter inline 6 Twin Turbo that brings home 326 horsepower to go with 333 pound-feet of torque. All models come with an 8 speed automatic transmission.
The 220i goes from 0 to 60 mph in 7.0 seconds, whereas the M235i, with the extra two cylinders makes it in 5.0 seconds.
Interior & Exterior
The interior of the 2014 2 Series Coupe includes a driver focused cabin. Some features include dual zone auto climate control and the i-Drive system paired with a 6.5 inch display.
Hi-tech options such as a Driving Assistant pack that comes with a collision warning and lane departure system. A navigation system is likewise available. The rear seat is a 60-40 split folding unit that retracts to allow larger sized cargo.
Around the cabin, you have 2 cup holders, door pockets, along with a glove box provide room for smaller items. Compared with the 1 Series Coupé, the 2 Series is slightly bigger. It has a reshaped and narrower headlights that adds to its appeal. The bigger proportions of the new 2 Series gives you additional interior space.
Smoother, sportier and sleeker are the buzzwords for the BMW 2 Series Coupe plans to be available on March 8th, 2014. A convertible is predicted to follow in the summer.
