Rumors surrounding its launch circulated and the geniuses at Bentley did not disappoint. The sedan boasts of unrivaled technology, style, craftsmanship and general drivability even at speeds which would seem unreasonable for a sedan.

Engine

The new Flying Spur hosts a W12 6.0 liter engine along with twin turbochargers which deliver the 616 horsepower that Bentley is proud of. The 103.2 hp/liter ratio, though not unheard of, is an important milestone in the makings of a sedan. Most impressive is the 0 to 62 mph timing which stands at a meager 4.3 seconds. If all these specifications were not enough to impress you then here’s more: the sedan has a top-speed of 200 mph.

Aerodynamics

The traditional Bentley style has been incorporated to go with a sporty design and the result is an athletic car that can drive your whole family crazy. The muscular rear haunches are complemented with sharp feature lines that lend the best possible aerodynamics, which ensures the classic Bentley look on the new Flying Spur. All in all, the features and tradition of the older Flying Spur is still there, but this time it comes with the speed that was lacking in the past.

Interior

The new Bentley Flying Spur sports a spacious cabin that is luxurious enough for royalty. Advanced acoustics and superior technology are housed in hand-crafted leather hides. The wooden veneers complement the hides. With 600 new parts, the interior designers have completely outdone themselves on the new Flying Spur.

Technology

A touch screen information-entertainment, Wi-Fi and mobile connectivity, a hand-held touch screen Remote allow passengers to control a plethora of features along with a rear seat entertainment set that improves driver and passenger interface with the car and the world outside.

Personally, the best part about the new Flying Spur, apart from the simply awesome speed, power and sheer ease of driving, is its sound system. An eight-speaker audio system on eight channels provides high sound clarity and an option of the 1100W Naim® is available to simply blast your mind (and your ears) away.

With such a tremendous makeover, the older Flying Spur would be proud of the new generation. You would be hard pressed to find a better Bentley.
