Recently revealed was the 2015 BMW M4 Convertible at the Javits Center in New York City.

This new car offers more headroom, fresh air and lots of sunshine to those who want a little greater outdoors and tousled hair with the M experience.

One of the most notable features of this convertible is its expressive face; the facia has the company’s signature twin-bar kidney, squinty LED headlights, and a trio of air intakes.

Engine & Performance

This new convertible uses the same engine as the coupe. This means it’s powered by a high-revving, twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter engine. This engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed manual M dual-clutch transmission.

The engine produces 425 hp and a torque of 406 pound-feet. According to BMW, this car can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in only 4.4 seconds when equipped with the manual.

Exterior

The 2015 M4 convertible is similar to the coupe. It carries on the hardtop’s athletic stance with its long wheelbase, aerodynamic mirrors, short front overhang and some optional painted brake calipers.

To reduce weight and preserve rigidity, this car features carbon-fiber reinforced plastics in some areas.

The top takes only 20 seconds to raise or lower and can even be operated at up to 11 mph. Once the top is stowed, the cargo space in the trunk is reduced by almost half; 18 inch trims are standard, while 19-inches are optional.

Interior

Inside, you will find driver-friendly analog gauges together with a 6.5 inch display screen that is mounted at the top of the dashboard. The screen displays audio and car information.

Redundant controls are on car’s steering wheel and the dashboard provide alternate ways of accessing all the electronics. Optional navigation is also available with the Google point-of-interest -search and real-time traffic information.

The navigation system also comes with a touchpad on iDrive knob that allows you write phone numbers, your contact names and all your navigation destinations.

The cargo space measures 13 cubic feet when the top is up and about 7.8 cubic ft when the top is down.

The brand-new LT4 supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine delivers 625-horsepower and 635 pound-feet of torque (861 Nm). Exterior

The most striking feature of the 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible is the high-tech, all-aluminum futuristic frame structure boasting improved stiffness and strength as well as reduced weight. All exterior panels, including flared fenders, larger vents, carbon-fiber front splitter and wider rear spoiler serve functional purposes in order to accomplish the high performance goals of this supercar.

The electronic top of this convertible comes in four elegant colors, incorporates sound-absorbing padding and it can open or close while driving 30 miles per hour. The Z06 convertible as well as the coupe will be available for sale with one of three levels of aerodynamic downforce.

Interior

The interior design of this Convertible features two seating options – a GT seat as well as a Competition Sport seat with fairly aggressive side bolstering for enhanced support on the track. Both seats have a magnesium frame structure for improved rigidity and strength. The flat-bottom steering wheel has a carbon fiber center spoke.

With that, the 1,964 units of the 2015 Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition should be an easy sell to its legion of followers.

1964 was the year the Mustang was first sold, a half century ago.

Under the hood of the 50 Year Limited Edition you will find a 5.0 Liter, Coyote V8 capable of generating 420 horsepower.

The engine will be mated to your choice of a 6 speed manual or automatic transmission.

This “Pony” should gallop from 0-60 mph in approximately 5 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.

Exterior

There are a slew of cosmetic changes to this Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition, many are reminiscent of the first generation “Pony”.

Up front you is a fascia that appears to have been inspired by the 1968 version with gills on both sides of the grille. Of course the iconic steed chrome emblem is largely displayed in its center.

Around back, the traditional tri-bar taillights also get a touch of chrome with their surrounds.
Most noticeable in its profile are the glass louvered rear windows (ala the 1965 fastback) and the 19 inch spoke wheels.

There will be two color offerings reserved just for the limited edition. The original 1964 hue of “Wimbledon White” and “Kona Blue.”

Interior

Inside the 2015 Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition, is an individually serialized nameplate mounted on the dash.

The instrument panel has an aluminum trim with an axle spin finish.

The steering wheel is wrapped in leather, with cashmere stitching which is also present on the center armrest and door panels.

Present day technology is displayed with such items as MyFord touch, SYNC, Blind Spot and Shaker Pro audio.

The expected release is around August of 2014. The “Limited Edition” Mustang puts it in competition with the Chevy Camaro and Dodge Challenger.

Citroen recently presented their upcoming DS model at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.

The 2015 Citroen DS 6WR completes the automotive giant’s lineup by adding a new SUV. In fact it is the first SUV made by the French manufacturer.

Citroen has built its first SUV and decided to make it a luxury model starting from the exterior to its performance. Chromed elements, aluminum parts and a discreet sports design provide an aura of style.

The SUV will be available with a 160 horsepower or a 200 horsepower engine, and comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The standard model will is a front-wheel drive. A traction control system has been added to distribute the power to the wheels. The Grip Control system ensures that traction is maintained regardless of road conditions.

Performance

The standard model will feature a front wheel drive which can affect its stability. Its 19 inch stock wheels offer decent grip but the car should not be pushed to its limits.

Just like with most SUVs, cornering at high speeds can affect stability. However, due to the fact that it has a lower stance, the downforce should give it enough stability.

In terms of raw power, the model comes with two options but the lack of an all-wheel drive mode make it an exclusive city car.

Exterior

The exterior of the DS 6WR is predominated by fluid lines with narrow headlights that touch the front grille and reach to the sides. The front bumper was fitted with a discreet black skirt with chrome elements that extends to the sides.

The rear has a prominent bumper while the tail lights have been placed a bit higher, giving it a more aggressive look.

Interior

Interior details have not been released yet, the DS 6WR is a luxury SUV which should reflect over the interior as well.

The term “all new” has been thrown around loosely in the automotive industry. In the case of the 2015 Hyundai Sonata, it applies accordingly. This new Sonata performs better, is quieter and more comfortable than previous models. It is wider and longer.

The new Sonata was unveiled at the New York Auto Show last April.

Hyundai is a leader in the U.S. sedan market with offerings such as the Elantra and Genesis to go along with the Sonata.

The 2015 Sonata is equipped with a 2.4L, inline-4 cylinder engine generating 185 horsepower with 178 lbs ft of torque.

The engine is paired to a 6 speed SHIFTRONIC automatic transmission.

This powertrain allows the Sonata to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 7.7 seconds with a top speed of 135 mph.

Exterior

The new Hyundai Sonata benefits from the car manufacturers new “Fluidic Sculpture 2.0”.
The overall styling has a more rigid form as opposed to a sweeping descent of its lines. The roofline is basically the same as are the doors and windows.

The front fascia features an upright grille with a 3D effect of the horizontal slats versus the flat appearance of its predecessors. The headlamps are more recessed away from the grille. The hood also has been changed providing for a new pronounced center section.

The profile view is unchanged from the A-pillars to the rear, which features smaller LED taillights with a softer trunk lid line and trapezoidal exhaust tips.

Interior

The interior features a new instrument panel with a center stack filled with an infotainment display.

The Touch screens begin at just under 4 inches and grow to a full 8″ as the trim level goes up. The front seats are heated, cooled and vented while the rear passengers are kept warm during cooler temperatures.

With a starting price of its basic model set at $21,600 it is expected to compete with autos like the Chevrolet Malibu and Mazda6.
