As if the 458 Italia was not race ready enough, the Italian automaker decided to enhance its performance by introducing the 2013 racing one Ferrari 458 Competition version.

The racing one team has come up with an aerodynamics package combining higher output with improved balance. It also provides for a better and broader wheel-tire combination.

Another distinct aspect of the racing one Ferrari 458 is that its light weight, just 2,690 pounds as opposed to the production model at 3,935 lbs.

Engine & Performance

Obviously, the main thrust of the racing one Ferrari 458 is under its hood, where you will find a 4.5 liter, V8 engine capable of delivering 620 horsepower.

The car features variable traction control paired with a 7 speed racing gearbox with a Getrag rocker switch. It accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds, with an estimated top speed of 200 mph.

Safety

The new Subaru Levorg has been installed with an Emergency Stop Signal that quickly flashes hazard-warning lights when it makes sudden deceleration from a very high speed. This warns the car behind it of a rapid approach and any collision risk.

The car is also equipped with 7 airbags together with knee airbag in driver’s seat.

The 2013 Volkswagen Twin Up Concept is an ultra fuel efficient car showcased by VW at the Tokyo Motor Show. The indications suggest that vehicle may make its real world debut.

The Twin Up Concept borrows its powertrain from the VW XL1. Twin Up is the hybrid version of Volkswagen Up. This four seater hybrid returns a staggering fuel efficiency of 178 MPGe, which makes it one of the most fuel efficient car to be ever built.

The Twin Up concept comes with a drive unit that comes in the form of a 0.8 liter diesel motor, an electric motor that produces 35kW, and a 7 speed DSG. The engine is located behind the rear seats.

The Twin Up can do a 0-60 mph dash in 8.8 seconds. In all-electric mode, the car has a top speed of 78 mph (125 km/h), which is respectable for its size. In hybrid mode, the vehicle can clock a top speed of 87 mph (140 km/h). The car has an unladen weight of 2657 lbs, which allows the vehicle to achieve amazing efficiency.

Exterior

The design of the Twin Up concept is compact. The external design is that of a neat and cute looking hatch. The huge glass rear door gives a distinctive look to the vehicle.

The Twin Up is only a concept and the final design of the production model may be a lot different. VW showcased the concept in Tokyo in sparkling white with blue glass flakes.

Interior

The interior color of the model unveiled was in ceramic, along with accents of blue. The concept version had a non-traditional dashboard with all digital controls and instrumentation.

At this stage the whole Twin Up project is a concept. However, if number crunching supports, then VW may push this out in the market for immediate public consumption, just like the XL1.

Engine

Very little is known about the car’s engine, but it is expected that it will initially be available in the high-end V8 supercharged and Autobiography trim levels. The 5.0 liter engine produces 510 horsepower with a towing capability of 7700 lbs.

It’s expected that a V6 option and the new hybrid powertrain will be available.

Exterior

This long-wheelbase model is denoted by an L’ badge on the front fender and the tailgate. The engineers have added about 8 inches to the wheelbase; this was achieved by stretching the aluminum uni-body structure. This equates to 5.5 inches more rear seating legroom than the standard models. You may opt for other features that include a massage function.

A unique design with a great finish has been given to front grille and the side vents. Black enamel and chrome are on the front grille. The tail-lights are encased in black enamel. This SUV dons a lot of chrome to complement its 21 inch wheels.

Interior

The interior has been finished with top quality leather and other material. The LWB incorporates individualized front and rear seating packaging with bespoke seat cover design.

Inside, most surfaces are wrapped in leather and are contrasted by wood veneers with brushed stainless steel.

If you choose the 2 individual rear seats, the Autobiography Black trim, it has a table that may be electronically activated, these are covered in black leather to go with integrated USB charging sockets.

The German automotive giant Mercedes published a press release announcing the release of their upcoming SLS AMG model.

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition are being built in a limited quantity, only 350 units.

The upgrade package includes visual improvements and a performance boost that transforms this SLS AMG GT into a super sports car.

Engine

The 6.3 liter V8 engine was fine tuned to produce a total of 591 horsepower at 6800 rpm, to go with its 481 lbs ft of torque.

You can go from from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds while the top speed has been limited to 198 mph. The stock transmission was replaced by a 7-speed AMG speedshift gearbox.

Performance

The air outlets, rear aero-foil and front splitter reduce the lift on both the rear and the front axle.

With extra downforce, the car behaves decently at high speeds. The wider wheels give it more grip on the road making it easier to steer at higher speeds.

Exterior

The exterior of the car has been upgraded with a carbon fiber rear spoiler and bonnet. Mercedes added two air intakes to the front bumper right beneath the headlights and a central air outlet on the bonnet.

The struts on the rear have been finished in high-gloss black while the stock doors were completely removed and replaced with gull-wing doors. Additionally, the upgrade kit comes with black painted rims and brake plates in red.

Interior

The seats, doors and central panel are covered with diamond pattern leather. Mercedes replaced the stock console with a carbon-fiber while the instrument panel are covered in leather.

The MB-AMG team worked on delivering a kit that makes this SLS GT look more like a super sports car. With only 350 units expected, they are set for release in March 2014. It will be available in either the Coupe or Roadster trims.
